Lots of leadership in Kingsbury NY

Thank you Kingsbury and friends. I’m on my way home as I’m typing this on my Crackberry LOL but don’t worry, I pulled over to get some grub.

I was honored to meet so many great people from Washington County NY this weekend.

You are all truly fire service leaders and have much to be proud of, especially the way you work together. I was very impressed.

And especially thanks for throwing me a barn fire in my honor. That was a nice touch that no one has ever done for me!

Take care and I will update this when I get home and share my experiences here. I hope you will do the same. I value your feedback.

Thanks for the t-shirts too!

Stay Safe. Train often.

    Tiger,

First and foremost, thank you for all that you did in going out of your way to provide our departments and Washington County as a whole with some valued insight, knowledge, experience and hopefully some eye opening advice on how to strengthen our service. It was a beneficial class for me and hopefully all others that attended. My mind has been turning and I’ve been putting a few ideas on paper already. I’ll keep you posted over the course of time as to how our R&R committee is fairing with the information that you have provided in conjunction with the efforts that we have already been trying to put forth. Again thank you.

    P.S.,
I hope you had some fun at the barn fire. Great pics on the nation.

    Tiger,
Very insightful overview of the “Jackass Generation” and how to reach them. You consistently demonstrate your passion, enthusiasm and breadth of knowledge on the topic of Recruitment and Retention. Additionally, it was refreshing to be in the presence of like-minded firematic kindred spirits. It was empowering to witness the “Come to Jesus” moments in the audience.

And kudos to Washington County for recognizing their challenges and taking steps to rise to them; particular thanks to Jim Brunelle Jr. and Andrea Hess for spearheading the entire venture.

    Tiger,
We cannot than you enough for sharing your wisdom and experience with our departments. Collectively we have a lot of ground to cover, but now it does not seem like such a daunting task.
    Thank you!
